QOTD

When did my child become Stewie?

I took the kids to Fresh Choice the other day and have been kicking myself ever since for not discovering it sooner. I mean, I’ve been there a hundred times myself, but it’s changed in the past few years, and I have never seen my children eat so much, so enthusiastically, for so little money. I digress.

At the end of the meal, the two youngest asked if they could go get dessert. I nodded, and as they scampered off, I asked my eldest. “Why do they ask permission when they’ve been here a million times with Daddy and know it’s part of the meal?”

“Because they are idiots, Mindy. Now join me.”

I think they ask because they love hearing, “yes you can have dessert.” They also really enjoy seeing your happiness when say yes to something they are so excited about.

My three year old would have said, “Come on mumma, I dare you to say no!”

I sooooo wish we had something like Fresh Choice around here.  We have lobster and lots of it. Alas, this is Maine and in Maine even our McDonalds’ have lobster rolls. Yech!
